Frequently Asked Questions
Will I get an email confirmation?
Yes, we will send a confirmation email with a reminder of the details as well as you usual shop purchase confirmation emails – check junk folders. There will be a general purchase accepted email, purchase complete and another with specific bell tent info.
We will contact you in the month or so before the event to ask you to complete an online form with your arrival details, special requests etc. and then nearer the time with all the arrival details for the weekend.
If you have any questions in the meantime you can contact us by email if it isn’t covered by these FAQs.
When can I get into my tent?
All being well your tent will be ready for you when the site opens on Friday and is yours until Monday morning if you wish. Please check the event brochure for the confirmed site opening times.
What is included?
The tent will be set up ready for you on arrival and will include memory foam sleeping mats (very comfortable!), rugs, cushions, fairy lights and a small table or crate and lamp.
We suggest you bring sleeping bags and pillows, a torch or headlight for moving around the site at night and any cooking equipment you may need, although there are excellent reasonably priced caterers open 24 hrs through the event. You may also want to bring some camping chairs if you like to sit outside.
If you wish to hire bedding sets please email and we can give you a price for these. We may also be able to arrange hire or cooking equipment and seating.
Where will the tents be pitched?
We pitch the tents in the main camping field to one side of the main race HQ and start line. There will be toilets near by and it is a short walk to the showers and start line. We can also set tents up for solo runners in the solo camping area if you prefer. You will be able to park near to your tent (we cannot guarantee you can park directly outside it).
If you have any requests regarding your tent please email us.
I have friends with caravans/tent who we want to camp near, can we do this?
Caravans are not able to go on this part of the field. However if you wish we can pitch your bell tent in the caravan area. We cannot reserve caravan pitches though.
If you have friends with tents who want to pitch near your bell tent we can arrange to situate your bell tent on the edge of the glamping area so that other tents can be pitched next to it, however we cannot reserve general camping pitches and the main camping area will close to vehicles at 10am Saturday morning.
What are the arrival procedures?
Please check your emails in the day or two before the event as we will email a plan of the tents to the people who made the booking and this will also indicate where to park. We ask the person who booked the tent to send this to other members of the party. We cannot send this until all the tents are pitched so it will likely be on Thursday evening before the event. Please head to the ‘General Camping’ entrance – PLEASE NOTE THAT VEHICLE ACCESS TO THIS FIELD CLOSES AT 10AM SATURDAY MORNING. IF YOU ARRIVE AT THE GATE AFTER THIS TIME YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PARK IN THE VISITOR CAR PARK AND WALK TO YOUR TENT (5 min walk).
The bell tents will labelled with the name of the person who booked it. You can find your tent and move in as soon as you arrive. Marshals will direct you to the area and there will be a plan at event HQ if you need it. Any problems or questions over the weekend please visit event HQ.
Can I bring a dog?
No animals are allowed in the bell tents at any time.
